Know the Process of knitting

Knitting is popularly concern with new arrival of a new born baby. It has become passion for many people to. Today in such high speed world, still knitting is a hobby for many people, it can be said that it is a productive hobby.

There are many different types of yarns for knitting such as polyester filament yarn, polyester spun yarn, DTY, Polyester staple fibre, Partially Oriented Yarn and some other yarns. If you are a beginner then take a thick yarn and bigger needle and don’t buy expensive material as you are knitting for first time.

Here are some steps of knitting

First of all should be done is making yarn ball. Many yarns comes in a skein that is not a convenient form, so it is first necessarily to make a ball of yarn first to start the work of knitting. Then make the loop with end of yarn in the form where put the long end of the yarn on top of the short end. Place it on top of the yarn to the site of it. Then pick up yarn through it, pull it gently through loop, don’t pull so much, though the loose end comes. Now pull the knot tight, keeping the loop to the top open. Slip that new loop on the needle of knitting. Now it has to tighten the knot around the knitting needle, pull both ends.

Now you add more beginning stitches when you casting on. Here is one casting method which is very useful for beginners.

Hold the needle with slipknot in your hand. Now drape the yarn which is attached to your yarn ball behind your other hand and over a palm. keep your short end yarn out of the way for now. Now place the needle to underneath yarn across the palm. Now pull out the palm from yarn and there will be loop formed around knitting needle. After that pull the loop tight by pulling on the yarn. Now this is your first cast on. Repeat this process until the stitches as many as you want.

Now after completing your stitches as many you want there comes a binding off to complete knitting. For that, knit two stitches. Then pull yarn out from the loop. And cut it, leaving 6 inch end and pull the cut end tight.

So this is the simple one method of knitting. There are various different methods but beginners should start with some simple steps.

It can be natural fiber, synthetic fibre or it can be the combination of both. Other natural fiber – some other natural fibers are cotton and linen. It may also include soy, corn, and hemp and bamboo plant fiber.

Novelty – Novelty yarns are used in knitting project. They can add a cool variety to the knitting project because these yarn itself can look a different. These may include boucle, chenille, faux fur, or ribbon.

Synthetic – There are other types of yarns which are obtained from some synthetic sources such as polyester, acrylic, and nylon yarns.

Speciality – These may bring a specific type of style to the yarn.

Yarns come in several types combined to make a unique design, style and variety.
